Is DJI Going To Release the DJI Mavic 2 ZOOM and DJI Mavic 2 PRO Soon?

DJI, the global favorite of drone lovers, keeps on producing ever increasing improvements in their every successive drone model. The China-based commercial drone makers was set to announce the launch of some of its latest developments, however, the 18th July event was cancelled by the company.

Leaked details increase excitement

Rumors have been rife about their latest offering, ever since the company announced the event a couple of months ago. Although fans were heavily disappointed when the company cancelled the planned event, now the same fans are getting excited. Thanks to a leaked product listing, we have details of not one, but two different Mavic models that DJI is set to launch next.

Noted drone lover and expert, Brett Thake , shared the leaked product catalogue on his Twitter account. According to his description the new DJI Mavic 2 variants is able to achieve a top speed of around 72 k/h (45 mph) and has an ideal total flight time of about 31 minutes on full charge.

The latest Mavic models are equipped with impressive controls, including an all-round obstacle-sensing system with APAS and the Active Track 2.0. It can be flown at a range of around 8 km (5 miles) safely and transmits 1080p video data uninterrupted.

Impressive camera quality

One of the best features that professional aerial photographers will love about the variants is the excellent camera quality. Although both the models are said to have a 1-inch CMOS Hasselblad camera, the Mavic 2 Zoom variant will have an advanced 24-48 mm equivalent to 2x zoom feature as well. This is said to be a huge step forward for the company, from the 1/2.3” camera the existing DJI Mavic drone series is equipped with.

What does DJI say?

The leaked details have been confirmed by DJI to CNET as well. The company told that the now leaked catalog was pre-printed and scheduled to be launched before the 18th July event, where the company planned to introduce the new DJI Mavic 2 series drones. The company further fanned fires of excitement for their users, as they stated that the leaked details are only part of the complete parcel. The company assured that there are various other advanced features integrated into the new Mavic 2 drone series which will remarkably improve their users’ drone photography experience.
