Exciting new insights have surfaced about DJI’s upcoming NEO drone, showcasing innovative voice control capabilities and unexpected aerial acrobatics. According to drone industry expert Jasper Ellens, the DJI NEO is poised to revolutionize the consumer drone market by blending ease of use with dynamic flight features.
Hands-Free Control with Voice Commands
One of the standout features of the DJI NEO is its pioneering voice control system. Users can activate this mode with a simple “Hey fly!” command, allowing for hands-free operation. This marks a significant leap in drone technology, making it more user-friendly and accessible to a broader audience.
Aerial Acrobatics on Demand
In a surprising twist, the DJI NEO is also equipped with the ability to perform backflips through voice command. This adds an element of excitement and flair to the drone’s capabilities, highlighting DJI’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of drone maneuverability and entertainment.
Compact Yet Powerful
The NEO maintains DJI’s tradition of creating portable, high-performance drones. Weighing just 135 grams, it’s the ideal companion for creators on the move, delivering professional-grade aerial footage without the bulk. Key features include:
- 4K ultra-stabilized video capture
- 12MP photo capability
- AI-driven intelligent tracking for seamless filming
- Six QuickShot modes for effortless automated recording
- 18-minute battery life
- Palm takeoff for easy launches
Great to see C0 certification is granted and the #NEO complies with European legislation. People should not underestimate how small this drone actually is. If it flies like any other DJI people won’t even mis the gimbal. Can wait to remove the guard and own a #avata2mini pic.twitter.com/h8Q7Zot0na

Safety and Spectacle
Despite its acrobatic prowess, the NEO doesn’t skimp on safety. It features comprehensive propeller guards, ensuring protection during flight and stunts. This balance between performance and safety makes it an appealing choice for both novice and experienced pilots.
Speculated Release Date
Although DJI has yet to confirm it officially, sources hint that the NEO could be available as early as August 20th, 2024. This release could mark a new era in consumer drone technology, offering both intuitive controls and exhilarating flight options. The DJI NEO promises to be a versatile tool for aerial videography and photography, catering to a wide range of users. As we near the anticipated launch, all eyes will be on how these features translate into real-world usage and their impact on the broader drone market.

O4 means it SHOULD work with my RC2. other than that the specs don’t bother me. not having SD card isn’t a big deal as I don’t need to store that much ON device. and JPEG is fine as well at that price point. I already have a M4P. Would like to pair with existing controller. If i can, I will buy. Be nice to see a drone only package:)
