Another drone, the DJI Mavic 3 Classic, is about to be unveiled by the company, which has already released a number of drones this year alone, most recently the Mavic 3E and Mavic 3T for enterprise users. Now that the new Mavic 3E and Mavic 3T have been released, it appears like DJI has finalized the Mavic 3 Classic, which is the fifth model in the Mavic 3 series.

Mavic 3 Classis is reportedly priced at USD 1400, which is USD 500 less than the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine. This drone is thought to be more affordable than the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine. For comparison, at this cost, the Mavic 3 Classic would be roughly twice as expensive as the Mini 3 Pro.

The DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone will have the same technological design, including both electrical and mechanical components, as the Mavic 3 drone that was first unveiled in November 2021. Due to the loss of the telephoto lens, this drone will only have one camera instead of two, but the other camera’s specifications are expected to stay the same. The Mavic 3 Classic should be able to record films in 5.1K at 50fps and 4K at 120fps, as well as 20MP still photographs in 12-bit RAW format.

To obtain crisper and more distinct photographs, aerial photographers should be able to use an aperture range of f/2.8 to f/11 to suit their needs.

Expected features of the Mavic 3 Classic drone include:

  • Software-defined radio (SDR) communication system RF filter modification without RF parameter tuning
  • To reduce the size and improve the architecture of the printed circuit board, some unnecessary interfaces, peripheral circuits, and motor speed control parts were removed (PCB)
  • Galileo satellite navigation and operating in the 5170-5250 MHz range are two new features for operations in Europe that are enabled by software.

A chance for DJI to take advantage of all the design advancements made by its engineers for the Mavic 3 series. In a similar spirit, the drone manufacturer would want to include the most recent DJI RC remote controller with its new offering, which has a lightweight body, FHD display, and exceptionally long battery life.
